Wool has been a cornerstone of human civilization since the Stone Age, evolving from sheepskin clothing into a material central to modern life. Its versatility is rooted in relationships of care between humans and sheep, a connection that is often obscured as material production moves farther from their origins. This stool is upholstered with a fleece sourced from a sheep cared for by a local farmer, allowing the material to remain tethered to a living origin.

The wet felted natural locks are preserved and held within a wooden frame, gently corralled much like animals that have come to live alongside humans. The surface invites touch, bringing a quiet trace of the outside world indoors and fostering a moment of connection between body and material.

Materials are Sapele, plywood, and Corriedale wool.
