How do we meld with the natural world? A reciprocal harmony used to be the answer, but society has begun to associate power and progress with conquering it. We name a car brand after a Mustang, rate its speed in horsepower, yet many of us are so distant from its origin point.

Made from a discarded tire found roadside and ash offcuts diverted from the burn pile, Mustang repurposes industrial and waste materials into a saddle-like form that invites bodily engagement. Through movement, this piece reintroduces the body to a slower, more attentive relationship with material, motion, and the natural world it borrows from.
